We’re changing our plans: goodbye to the single "Full-Service" option, and hello to Essential, Protected, and Turnkey. Here’s what you need to know and why we’re making the change.

2026-10-08

If you follow our Newsroom, you know I tell you the unfiltered reality here: consular bottlenecks, the SITAC platform trap, and crashed appointments at Cancillería. Today, we are going to talk about money, fairness, and a some changes in the house.

Until September 2026, at Colombian Passport we had only one way to hire our services: the Full-Service model segmented by visa type. You paid $450, $500, $550, or $700 depending on whether you were a digital nomad, spouse, or investor, and we did all the legal work.

It was a simple system, but it hid a profound unfairness at both ends of the spectrum.

If you were a foreigner with a pristine case, months of anticipation, and all perfect documents, you ended up operationally subsidizing the client who arrived with an overstay or previous government requirements. And conversely, if your case was a "bureaucratic fire," we assumed a blind risk with a fee that did not cover the real effort of saving your immigration status. Your life in Colombia is too important for trial and error, and our fees had to reflect the reality of your file.

That is why, since October 2026, we have evolved. It no longer just matters what visa you need; it matters how your case comes to us.

Three plans for the same visa: You choose your level of coverage

All our representations start with the same $80 USD Strategic Consultation (100% credited towards your final fee if you hire us). In that hour, we diagnose your complexity and recommend one of these three paths in writing:

1. Essential Plan — From $350 USD

Strictly what is necessary for solid cases with enough time, executed with our characteristic rigor.

  • Ideal for you if: Your case is solid, there are no government requirements or inadmissions in sight, and you come without urgency (you have more than 45 days of legal status, with no overstays or visa changes in progress). You just want to make sure you submit a complete and perfect application on the first try and are not intimidated by outdated government platforms.

  • What it includes: Legal strategy, checklists, and proven templates that actually pass Cancillería, 100% preparation and review by a senior attorney, submission in SITAC, daily tracking, and access to our Sofi 24/7 app.

  • What it does not include: You assume the government payments and manage your Cédula de Extranjería appointment. If a discretionary requirement or inadmission arises along the way, it is quoted at a flat rate per event.

  • The Verdict: It is not the "best" plan; it is the plan meticulously tailored for a risk-free profile. Paid 100% upfront.

2. Protected Plan — From $540 USD

Strategic coverage against consular unforeseen events, without unnecessary costs. This is the model we believe 7 out of 10 of our clients need.

  • Ideal for you if: Your case could trigger a discretionary requirement or inadmission from the official, or if you come with urgency (less than 45 days of status, overstay, visa change, or a previous denial).

  • What it includes: Everything in the Essential Plan, plus a tactical "cushion" for what the process usually demands. We cover up to 2 official translations, up to 2 responses to Cancillería requirements, 1 re-application without legal fees (in case of inadmission), and up to 2 Cédula de Extranjería appointment bookings.

  • What it does not include: Direct government fees and other non-described services.

  • The Verdict: It is not a luxury; it is the sensible minimum protection to avoid paying for every consular unforeseen event separately. Paid 100% upfront.

3. Integral Plan — $2,900 USD (Flat Fee)

Absolute and complete management of the procedure, from the diagnosis to delivering the plastic ID card into your hands.

  • Ideal for you if: You fit the Essential or Protected profile, but your time is worth more than money. You do not have the availability to make government payments, find experts, manage certificates, or deal with appointments.

  • What it includes: Everything in the Protected Plan (without caps), and we pay all government fees and third-party rates for you. This includes: visa studies (even if we re-apply), issuance rights, extensions (prórrogas), safe conducts (salvoconductos), Cédula de Extranjería, FBI fingerprinting in Colombia, apostilles, unlimited translations, document pickup via power of attorney, and international shipping.

  • The Verdict: Total delegation. Paid 50% upon signing and 50% upon application submission.

The Truth About Government Costs

Transparency is our number one rule. Except for the Integral Plan, Colombian government costs are paid separately, directly to the State. For 2026, these are:

  • Visa Study: $54 USD.

  • Visa Issuance: Visitor ($177 USD), Migrant ($270 USD), Resident ($400 USD).

  • Cédula de Extranjería: $294,000 COP.

Your Peace of Mind Begins With a Clear Diagnosis

We do not sell plans blindly. If you try to hire a Protected Plan but your case is a flawless Essential, we will tell you. If you want an Essential but have a complex criminal record, we will explain why you need to shield yourself.

There is no guesswork. Everything starts by booking your $80 USD Strategic Consultation. We diagnose your route, give you the verdict of your plan in writing, and if you decide to move forward with us, that value is fully credited towards your legal fees.
