- If the main visa holder has a V-type visa, the fee is $177 USD.

- If they have an M-type visa, the fee is $270 USD.

- If they have an R-type visa, the fee is $400 USD.

This visa allows you to reside, exercise any legal activity in Colombia (except work), such as studying, signing contracts, opening a bank account, etc. Likewise, if the holder of the visa of which you are a beneficiary is the holder of any type M visa, you can accumulate the same time continuously and uninterruptedly with this type of visa, to apply for a Resident visa for accumulated time

Can be applied for from within Colombia or from the applicant's country of residence or nationality.

Specific Requirements

  1. Copy of Principal Visa: Copy of the current visa of the principal visa holder from whom the beneficiary wishes to obtain the visa.

  2. Proof of Relationship:

  • Marriage Certificate or Birth Certificate: Copy of the marriage certificate or birth certificate that certifies the relationship or family link with the principal visa holder. These documents must be properly apostilled, legalized, and translated into Spanish if they are in another language.

  • Written Request from Principal Visa Holder: Written communication from the principal visa holder requesting the beneficiary visa and declaring economic dependency and responsibility for the beneficiary's travel and/or stay expenses in the national territory, including health coverage services.

  • Proof of Financial Responsibility: The principal visa holder must demonstrate, through bank statements for the last 6 months or employment certification, that they have sufficient income to assume financial responsibility for their beneficiaries.
